Softball Recap: Lakewood Snaps Six-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Lakewood's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They blew past the Richland Northeast Cavaliers 12-1. The high-scoring effort was just what the Gators needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

Lakewood's win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-2. As for Richland Northeast, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lakewood will head out to square off against South Florence at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Richland Northeast, they will venture away from home to take on Lancaster at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be Richland Northeast's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
