Soccer Recap: Celina Picks Up 18th Consecutive Win

Celina made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Poteet, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Celina Bobcats' defense stepped up to hand the Poteet Pirates a 3-0 shutout on Thursday. Considering the Bobcats have won 18 games by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Poteet with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Grace Pritchard, Grace Peoples, and Ryleigh Stifflemire.

The victory (which was Celina's 18th in a row) raised their record to 21-1. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up four goals over those 18 matchups. As for Poteet, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-4-3.
