Escanaba barely beat Negaunee the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eskymos were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Miners on Saturday. The Eskymos might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by eight runs or more this season.

Escanaba pushed their record up to 9-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Negaunee, the loss snapped their winning streak at seven games and leaves them with a 9-4 record.

Looking ahead, Escanaba will welcome Rudyard at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Negaunee, they will take on Marquette at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Miners' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Sentinels have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season.
