Basketball Game Preview: Rains Wildcats vs. Lone Oak Buffaloes

The Rains Wildcats will square off against the Lone Oak Buffaloes at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Rains will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.

On Tuesday, everything went Rains' way against Chisum as Rains made off with a 66-44 victory. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 games by 22 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lone Oak). They walked away with a 62-52 win over Chisum on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Buffaloes.

Rains pushed their record up to 25-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 33.8 points. As for Lone Oak, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-14.

Everything came up roses for Rains against Lone Oak in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 69-21 victory. Does Rains have another victory up their sleeve, or will Lone Oak turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
