            Campolindo's game  on Tuesday was a  loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Thursday. They blew past the Mt. Diablo Red Devils 14-4. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Cougars considering their one-run performance the  matchup before.

 Paige Williams was a  major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out 11 batters over  seven innings while giving up just two earned  (and two unearned) runs off   five  hits (and not a single walk). With that strong performance,  she is now averaging an impressive 5.4  strikeouts per game. She was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 4-for-5 with two  stolen bases, five  RBI,  and two  runs. That's the most  hits  she has posted since back in March.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Lucy Wilson, who  went 3-for-5 with four  runs, four  RBI,  and two  doubles. Those  three  hits gave  her a new career-high.  Maya Hammerman was another key player,  going 2-for-5 with four  runs and one  triple.
 Campolindo was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .378. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mt. Diablo only posted a  batting average of  .185.
Campolindo is  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-9 record  this season. The  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 14.3 runs over those games. As for Mt. Diablo,  they are  on  a  five-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 3-13.
 Coming up, Campolindo will host St. Patrick-St. Vincent  at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. The Bruins have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.07  runs per game on average), something the Cougars will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Mt. Diablo, they will head out to  square off against Concord  at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
