Baseball Recap: Langham Creek Victorious

While Langham Creek's win against Cypress Springs wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Langham Creek narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Cypress Springs 9-7. The Lobos haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Langham Creek got a massive performance out of Kaleb Mendez, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Mendez is becoming a predictor of Langham Creek's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 4-2 (and 3-12 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Caden Thomas, who scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Langham Creek's record is now 7-14. As for Cypress Springs, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-13.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Langham Creek will take on Cypress Park at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cypress Springs, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Cypress Springs Panthers face off against Cypress Woods Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
