Volleyball Recap: Whitney Young Victorious

The Whitney Young Dolphins beat the Hubbard Greyhounds 2-0 on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Dolphins.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Whitney Young took both sets by at least 18 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-5.

Delilah Roman paced Whitney Young's offense, picking up 11 kills. Roman got some help from Jordyn McCoy and her 20 assists. Vivian Sampson and Lael Timbers-Ausar kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Whitney Young's victory bumped their record up to 22-6. As for Hubbard, their loss dropped their record down to 15-6.

Coming up, Whitney Young will be playing at home against Taft at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Hubbard, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Victoria Soto on the 17th.
