Volleyball Recap: Porter Ridge Takes a Loss

Porter Ridge lost against Union Academy back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Porter Ridge lost 3-0 to Union Academy. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Pirates were not able to get on the board.

Porter Ridge was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-16, 25-21.

Porter Ridge is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4. As for Union Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Porter Ridge didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Cuthbertson on the 26th. Union Academy has also already played their next contest (against Olympic), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
