Baseball Game Preview: Emerald Ridge Jaguars vs. Bonney Lake Panthers

The Emerald Ridge Jaguars will venture away from home to face off against the Bonney Lake Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Emerald Ridge will be strutting in after a victory while Bonney Lake will be coming in after a loss.

While Emerald Ridge's win against Curtis wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Jaguars narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Vikings 4-3. The win continues a trend for the Jaguars in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Bonney Lake's offense. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Olympia on Wednesday. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The victory got Emerald Ridge back to even at 6-6. As for Bonney Lake, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.

Emerald Ridge took their win against Bonney Lake when the teams last played back in April of 2016 by a conclusive 7-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Jaguars since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
