Basketball Recap: Gibraltar Comes Up Short

Gibraltar lost against Southern Door back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Gibraltar Vikings took a blow against the Southern Door Eagles, falling 74-37. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Gibraltar's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Southern Door, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gibraltar will venture away from home to take on Sturgeon Bay at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gibraltar is facing Sturgeon Bay at the right time seeing as Sturgeon Bay is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Southern Door, they will head out on the road to face off against Kewaunee at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Southern Door knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine matches -- so hopefully Kewaunee likes a good challenge.
