Baseball Recap: University Comes Up Short

University lost against Venice last Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Wildcats came up short against the Gondoliers, falling 14-7. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Angel Huerta was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Bryce Pearson, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

University now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Venice, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-1.

University didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 13-4 loss against Palisades on the 5th. As for Venice, they have also already played their next contest, a 5-3 win against Legacy on the 5th.
