Basketball Recap: Anna Stroup's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Madison Plains over Liberty Union

If Madison Plains was feeling good fresh off their 54-27 takedown of Catholic Central last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Madison Plains Golden Eagles took a 54-36 bruising from the Liberty Union Lions on Wednesday. The match marked the Golden Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Several Golden Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Anna Stroup, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 boards. Those 11 rebounds gave Stroup a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenzie Vallery, who posted ten points and six boards.
