Primero waltzed into their game on Thursday with 16 straight wins... but they left with 17. They blew past the Centennial Rams 83-33. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matches by 23 points or more this season.

Primero's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mat Pachorek, who dropped a double-double with 26 points and 21 rebounds. The contest was Pachorek's third in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brett Kendall, who went 9-for-17 to rack up 23 points along with seven steals and five assists.

Primero was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Primero's win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-1. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to assists: they averaged an imposing 11.25 assists in those games compared to only 4.9 in the others. As for Centennial, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Primero won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Sierra Grande at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Primero has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Centennial, they will take on Hanover at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hanover is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.2 points per game this season.
