Basketball Game Preview: Erie Tigers vs. Lutheran Lions

The Erie Tigers will square off against the Lutheran Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

It was a proper cat-fight when Erie took on Boulder on Friday. The Tigers took down the Panthers 51-36. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Erie's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Addison Greenlee led the charge by putting up four points in addition to eight rebounds and five assists. Those five assists gave Greenlee a new career-high. Sophie Husk was another key player, earning nine points and five steals.

Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Lutheran ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They snuck past Colorado Springs Christian with a 40-34 win.

Lutheran's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Erie, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Erie was able to grind out a solid win over Lutheran in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, winning 42-34. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lions turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
