Downingtown East's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They came out on top against the Henderson Warriors by a score of 3-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cougars also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Downingtown East had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-21, 25-20, 25-18.

Molly Drake paced Downingtown East's offense, picking up 14 kills. Drake got some help from Maggie Mccabe and her 37 assists. Ashley Januszko controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

Downingtown East's victory bumped their record up to 8-3-3. As for Henderson, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Downingtown East is set to face off against their familiar foe Avon Grove at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Henderson will square off against rival Bishop Shanahan at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
