Basketball Recap: Manor Comes Up Short

Manor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Vandegrift Vipers, falling 69-24. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1004th, while the Vipers are ranked 163rd).

Manor's loss dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Vandegrift, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.

Manor will square off against Vista Ridge at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Vandegrift, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Hutto at 1:00 p.m. One thing working in Vandegrift's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven contests.
