Basketball Recap: UR Academy Wins Going Away Against Varsity Opponent

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Walnut Grove Christian, UR Academy was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 62-37 margin over Varsity Opponent. The Lions pushed the score to 47-26 by the end of the third, a deficit Varsity Opponent had little chance of recovering from.

UR Academy found their leader in freshman Jeremiah Logan, who made all 9 shots he took to post 23 points. Brysen Parker was another key player, putting up eight points and three blocks.

The win got UR Academy back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, UR Academy will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Covenant Classical at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Varsity Opponent, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, an 89-56 loss against Phoenix Montessori Academy on the 11th.
