Basketball Recap: Alliance Ted K. Tajima Wolverines vs. Sotomayor Wolves

Alliance Ted K. Tajima came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They had to suffer through a 72-14 loss at the hands of the Sotomayor Wolves. The Wolverines were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-10.

Despite the loss, Alliance Ted K. Tajima saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Niko Lozano posted eight points.

Jaime Menjivar had an outrageously good game for Sotomayor as he shot 83% from the field to rack up 14 points and four steals. Thanks to that strong game, Menjivar now owns an excellent 50% shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Richard Cortez, who went 5-for-10 on his way to 11 points and four steals.

Alliance Ted K. Tajima's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Sotomayor, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
