Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Caprock). Everything went their way against the Coronado Mustangs on Friday as the Caprock Longhorns made off with a 6-0 victory. Given the Longhorns' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 72nd, while the Mustangs are ranked 591st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Caprock's offense was hitting Coronado from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Aldo Carrasco led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Caprock has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 24 goals over those eight matches. As for Coronado, they dropped their record down to 3-6-2 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Caprock will face off against Plainview at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Caprock is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.
