Baseball Recap: Eaglecrest Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Eaglecrest had to start their season on the road on Saturday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Columbine Rebels by a score of 12-10.

Braden Elliott was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Columbine's win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-1.

Eaglecrest didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 5-1 victory against Highlands Ranch on the 11th. As for Columbine, they have also already played their next game, a 13-3 defeat against Douglas County on the 11th.
