Softball Preview: Brentwood Bruins vs. Nolensville Knights

Brentwood has been on the road for two straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Nolensville Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Last Wednesday, Brentwood narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Ravenwood 2-1.

Brentwood saw one different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jessica White, who went 1-for-3 with a triple and a run.

Nolensville was handed a 11-point defeat in their previous outing, but they didn't let that bad energy affect their game against Page on Monday. Nolensville skirted past Page 5-3. The win was just what Nolensville needed coming off of an 11-0 loss in their prior game.

Madison Creasman spent all eight innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on eight hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive pitching appearances.

At the plate, Jaycee Bilbrey was excellent, going 3-for-5 with two RBI and a double. Sydney Dickinson was another key contributor, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with.
