Baseball Recap: Trigg County Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Trigg County, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They walked away with a 7-3 victory over the Stewart County Rebels on Thursday. For the Wildcats, this counts as revenge for the 8-3 win the Rebels walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2017.

Chase Hampton was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Slaton Carter was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Trigg County's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Stewart County, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.

Coincidentally, Trigg County and Stewart County will both be playing Murray the next time they take the field. Trigg County will head out to face Murray at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while Stewart County will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
