Softball Recap: A.L. Brown Comes Up Short

A.L. Brown lost against South Iredell back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Wonders fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 5-4. The Wonders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Madyson Baker and Kennedy Yow did some serious damage despite the final result: Baker went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI, while Yow went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was MaKaela Frederick, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one double.

A.L. Brown's record is now 8-6-1. As for South Iredell, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-9 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A.L. Brown will challenge West Cabarrus at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wonders are facing the Wolverines at the right time seeing as the Wolverines are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for South Iredell, they will square off against Mooresville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Blue Devils will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Vikings surely won't give up without a fight.
