Fitchburg waltzed into their contest on Monday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They put the hurt on the Algonquin Regional Titans with a sharp 3-0 victory. This was a revenge game for the Red Raiders: when they faced off against the Titans back in March, they had to take a 3-2 loss.

While Fitchburg won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-21, 25-23.

Fitchburg pushed their record up to 7-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Algonquin Regional, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fitchburg will host North at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Red Raiders are facing the Polar Bears at the right time seeing as the Polar Bears are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Algonquin Regional, they will be playing at home against Doherty Memorial at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
