 The Madison Plains Golden Eagles's game  on Monday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Thursday. The stars were shining brightly for them in a  43-29 victory over Columbus School for Girls. That looming  43-29 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Madison Plains yet this  season.
 Madison Plains found their leader in underclassman  Claire Mason, who  scored 18 points along with eight  steals. Mason continues to roll, besting  her previous point total in each of the last four games she's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kenzie Vallery, who  scored four points along with nine  rebounds.
 Madison Plains' win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Columbus School for Girls, they are  on a three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 2-7.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Madison Plains will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against London at 6:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. The timing is sure in London's favor as the  team sits on four straight wins at home while Madison Plains has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season. Columbus School for Girls will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Fairbanks at 7:30  p.m.  on December 30th. Hopefully Fairbanks focused on turnovers this week  since the team gave up 13 on Wednesday.
