Football Recap: Hampton County Piles Up the Points Against Lake Marion

While Hampton County put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Lake Marion. The Hurricanes blew past the Gators, posting a 56-0 win. The Hurricanes have beaten the Gators the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Gators has come to flipping the script.

Tarell Grant threw for 52 yards and a pair of TDs. Jamar Housey was his top target, picking up 31 receiving yards and one touchdown. On the ground, Jaylen Singletary rushed for 297 yards and three scores on only 13 carries.

Hampton County's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Lake Marion, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.

Hampton County didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 50-0 win against Barnwell on the 17th. As for Lake Marion, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 28-26 victory against Whale Branch on the 17th.
