Baseball Recap: Indianapolis Lutheran Find Success

With a playoff win on the line, Indianapolis Lutheran rose to the challenge on Saturday. They walked away with a 7-4 victory over the Greenwood Christian Academy Cougars. That's more bragging rights for the Saints, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Hudson Mills made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out nine batters over 6.1 innings while giving up four earned runs off four hits. Mills was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last three times he's played.

In other batting news, Indianapolis Lutheran let Owen Lecher and Gage Meaney run wild. Lecher went 1-for-3 with one home run, while Meaney got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Indianapolis Lutheran always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .515. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .515 or higher in three consecutive matches.

Indianapolis Lutheran's record is now 16-10. As for Greenwood Christian Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-15.
