North Iredell came tearing into Thursday's contest with ten straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Elkin Buckin' Elks as they made off with an 11-1 win. Considering the Raiders have won five matches by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

North Iredell let Thomas Shumaker and Hunter Baldwin run wild. Shumaker scored two runs while going 2-for-4, while Baldwin scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Jay Brookshire, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

North Iredell always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .543. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Elkin only posted an OBP of .227.

North Iredell's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Elkin, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Iredell will head out to take on North Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Elkin, they will venture away from home to square off against Starmount at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
