Baseball Game Preview: Edna Cowboys vs. Palacios Sharks

For the second straight game, Edna will face off against Palacios. Edna will head out to face off against Palacios at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Edna took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Palacios 5-4. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Cowboys as it put an end to their seven-game losing streak.

Brady Peters made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he gave up only zero walks, the fewest he's had since back in February. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Peyton McCarrel, who went 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run was his first of the season.

Palacios is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-7. As for Edna, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 6-9.
