Football Recap: Daryl Evans Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Tuscola

With a playoff win on the line, Nokomis rose to the challenge on Saturday. They walked away with a 28-19 victory over the Tuscola Warriors. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Redskins.

Nokomis' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Daryl Evans led the charge by rushing for 138 yards and a pair of scores. Another back making a difference was Nolan Herpstreith, who rushed for 158 yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Nokomis was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 338 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2024.

Nokomis' win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Tuscola, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 7-3.

Looking ahead, Nokomis will square off against Casey-Westfield at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Tuscola does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
