Football Recap: Daryl Evans Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Tuscola

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Nokomis had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They walked away with a 28-19 victory over the Tuscola Warriors. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Redskins.

Nokomis' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Daryl Evans, who rushed for 141 yards and a pair of scores. The Redskins also got a significant boost from Nolan Herpstreith, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 158 yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Nokomis was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 341 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2024.

Nokomis' record is now 7-3. As for Tuscola, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 7-3.

Nokomis wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 48-14 defeat against Casey-Westfield on the 8th. Tuscola does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
