Flag Football Recap: Verrado Piles Up the Points Against Copper Canyon + How To Watch

While Verrado put up plenty of points on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Copper Canyon. The Vipers took their game with ease, bagging a 71-0 win over the Aztecs. The matchup marked the Vipers' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Verrado was led to victory by Sanaa Holliday and Nevaeh Romero. Holliday threw for 274 yards and five touchdowns while completing 84.2% of her passes, while Romero picked up 116 receiving yards and a pair of scores. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 70 yards. Another big playmaker for Verrado was Niah Arias, who returned a punt for a touchdown.

Verrado now has a winning record of 3-2-1. As for Copper Canyon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Verrado wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 33-0 win against Willow Canyon on the 15th. As for Copper Canyon, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Youngker at 6:00 p.m. on the 21st.
