Flag Football Recap: Verrado Vipers vs. Copper Canyon Aztecs
While Verrado put up plenty of points on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Copper Canyon. The Vipers took their game with ease, bagging a 71-0 win over the Aztecs. The matchup marked the Vipers' most dominant victory of the season so far.
Verrado was led to victory by Sanaa Holliday and Nevaeh Romero. Holliday threw for 274 yards and five touchdowns while completing 84.2% of her passes, while Romero picked up 116 receiving yards and a pair of scores. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 70 yards. Another big playmaker for Verrado was Niah Arias, who returned a punt for a touchdown.
