Atchison entered their game against Tonganoxie on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Phoenix lost 14-1 to the Chieftains. Having soared to a lofty 20 runs in the game before, the Phoenix couldn't push the score so high this time.

Atchison's loss dropped their record down to 12-4. As for Tonganoxie, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Tonganoxie beat Atchison by a score of 25-0 later that day.
