Basketball Recap: Mercer Takes a Loss

Mercer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They had to suffer through a 86-36 loss at the hands of the Wakefield Cardinals. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 76-25 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Mercer's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Wakefield, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.

While Mercer had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
