Softball Recap: Warren County Takes a Loss

Warren County fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Lincoln County on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Pioneers & Lady Pioneers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Warren County's defeat dropped their record down to 15-13. As for Lincoln County, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-13-2.

Coming up, Warren County will face off against Spring Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Raiders have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.89 runs per game on average), something the Pioneers & Lady Pioneers will no doubt try to take advantage of. Lincoln County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
