Soccer Game Preview: Splendora vs. Hudson

The Splendora Wildcats will be taking part in a tournament against the Hudson Hornets at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Splendora sitting on three straight victories and Hudson on five.

It was a proper cat-fight when Splendora faced off against Silsbee on Thursday. The Wildcats walked away with a 3-1 win over the Tigers. Given Splendora's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 170th, while Silsbee are ranked 387th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

One must be Hudson's lucky number: they beat La Grange with that score not once but twice on Saturday. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Hornets who were credited with the victory.

Splendora's win bumped their record up to 8-2-1. As for Hudson, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1-2.
