Volleyball Game Preview: Glenbrook South Titans vs. Loyola Academy Ramblers

The Glenbrook South Titans will head out on the road to take on the Loyola Academy Ramblers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Glenbrook South is coming into the contest hot, having won their last seven games.

On Tuesday, Glenbrook South was able to grind out a solid victory over Deerfield, taking the game 2-0.

Glenbrook South not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Deerfield between 19 and 20 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Loyola Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Deerfield on Saturday and fell 2-1. The Ramblers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Loyola Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 15-19. As for Glenbrook South, they pushed their record up to 23-11 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Glenbrook South came out on top in a nail-biter against Loyola Academy when the teams last played back in May of 2024, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Titans since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
