Football Recap: Irvine Comes Up Short

Irvine fell victim to Portola and their airtight defense on Monday. They took a 7-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. The loss leaves the Vaqueros still looking for their first win of the season.

Irvine's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Portola, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Irvine is set to take on their familiar foe Northwood at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Portola will face off against rival Woodbridge at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
