Fort Bend Austin lost a close one when they played last Saturday but unfortunately for them the loss they were handed on Thursday was a bit more commanding. They were dealt a 55-14 defeat at the hands of the Fulshear Chargers. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-7.

Although Fort Bend Austin took the loss, they still got scores from Michael Abboud and Mo Poko.

Patrick Broadway Ii was a one-man wrecking crew for Fulshear as he rushed for 165 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.3 yards per carry. Broadway Ii's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 151 rushing yards dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Ryland Forks, who threw for 182 yards and two touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes.

This is the second loss in a row for Fort Bend Austin and nudges their season record down to 1-2. As for Fulshear, their victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0.

Fort Bend Austin will host Fort Bend Dulles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fulshear, they will face off against Centennial at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
