The Mira Loma Matadors suffered their closest loss yet this season on Wednesday. They fell just short of Rio Linda by a score of 49-47. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Mira Loma in their matchups with Rio Linda: they've now lost four in a row.

Mira Loma's loss came despite strong showings from Danny Pukasenko and Kenneth Brown. Pukasenko scored 17 points, while Brown scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
