Recap: Highlands Bluebirds vs. North Laurel Jaguars

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Highlands Bluebirds had no problem doing just that on Friday. They blew past the Jaguars 30-7. The victory was nothing new for Highlands as they're now sitting on 11 straight.

It was another big night for Brody Benke, who rushed for 49 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 154 yards and a touchdown while completing 77.8% of his passes.

Highlands' victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 49.0 points per game. As for North Laurel, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.

Highlands has the luxury of staying home another week and will welcome Cooper at 7:00 p.m. on November 24th. The two teams have allowed few points on average, (Cooper: 15, Highlands: 17.2) so any points scored will be well earned. North Laurel does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
