Basketball Recap: Eunice Comes Up Short

If Eunice was riding high fresh off their 37-4 takedown of DeQuincy on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bobcats came up short against the Iota Bulldogs on Tuesday, falling 46-23. While losing is never fun, the Bobcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 303rd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 101st).

Eunice has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Iota, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-4.

Looking ahead, Eunice will venture away from home to take on Opelousas Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Iota, they will host Oberlin at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
