Volleyball Recap: Palmetto Wins Going Away Against Stoneman Douglas + How To Watch

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Palmetto had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Stoneman Douglas Eagles as they made off with a 3-0 win.

Palmetto never let Stoneman Douglas on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-18, 25-23.

Among those leading the charge was Carmela Rosenburg, who had 12 digs and three aces. That's the most aces she has posted over her last six contests.

They weren't the only good servers: Palmetto was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. They are 10-1 when they serve at least ten aces.

Despite the loss, Stoneman Douglas had strong showings from Grace Pulsifer, who had six digs and two aces, and Alyssa James, who had 11 digs, eight kills, and two aces. James has been hot for a while, having posted seven or more kills the last 11 times she's played.

Palmetto's victory bumped their record up to 17-10. As for Stoneman Douglas, their defeat ended a seven-match streak of away wins and brought them to 12-4.

Palmetto wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Doral Academy on the 25th. Stoneman Douglas does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
