Baseball Recap: Caldwell County Makes It Ten in a Row at Home

Caldwell County had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt Hopkins County Central on Tuesday. Caldwell County put the hurt on Hopkins County Central with a sharp 8-0 victory. Considering the Tigers have won four matches by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Scott Cortner was a major factor no matter where he played. He tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Cortner was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Drew Stevens was excellent, scoring a run and stealing four bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances. Westin King also deserves some recognition as he scored his first runs of the season.
