Softball Game Preview: Olympic Trojans vs. South Mecklenburg Sabres

Olympic is 0-10 against South Mecklenburg since April of 2021 but things could change on Thursday. Olympic will head out to square off against South Mecklenburg at 5:00 p.m. Olympic has given up an average of 19.3 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Olympic is headed into Thursday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 12th straight game dating back to last season on Tuesday. They lost 22-7 to Berry.

Meanwhile, South Mecklenburg didn't have quite enough to beat Hough on Wednesday and fell 5-4. The Sabres have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mary Cass Millikan was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Norris, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

South Mecklenburg's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Olympic, their loss dropped their record down to 0-10.

Olympic suffered a grim 15-0 defeat to South Mecklenburg when the teams last played on March 4th. Can Olympic avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
