Basketball Recap: Parkwood's Win Ends Seven-Game Losing Streak on the Road

West Stanly came into Friday's contest looking for another win against Parkwood, but Nehemiah Davis wouldn't allow it. The Parkwood Wolf Pack rang in the new year with a 55-47 victory over the West Stanly Colts on Friday thanks in part to Davis, who posted 30 points. The game was his third in a row with at least ten points.

Parkwood's win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-11. As for West Stanly, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Parkwood will host Anson at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Anson knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 13 matchups -- so hopefully Parkwood likes a good challenge. As for West Stanly, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Monroe at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
