Gatewood extended their home winning streak to 24 games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Matt Allen. The Gatewood Gators came out on top against the Central Fellowship Christian Academy Lancers by a score of 80-70 on Tuesday thanks in part to Allen, who dropped a double-double with 38 points and 13 rebounds. He has been hot for a while, having posted 18 or more points the last 49 times he's played.

Kaden Keiser was another key player, dropping a double-double with 17 points and 13 boards. That's the most rebounds he has posted since back in January of 2024.

Central Fellowship Christian Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brayden Emory, who put up 18 points. Another player making a difference was Judson Walls, who earned 17 points.

Gatewood is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.1 points over those games. As for Central Fellowship Christian Academy, their loss ended an eight-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-4.

Coming up, Gatewood will square off against Brentwood at 4:30 p.m. on February 13th. Gatewood knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 12 games -- so hopefully Brentwood likes a good challenge. As for Central Fellowship Christian Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 68-66 win against Windsor Academy on the 7th.
