Softball Preview: North Douglas vs. Santiam Wolverines

North Douglas has been on the road for two straight, but in their first game on Monday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Santiam Wolverines at 4:30 p.m. in their first game on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Last Friday, North Douglas made easy work of Oakland and carried off a 15-4 win.

Meanwhile, Santiam entered their tilt with Regis with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Rams with a sharp 18-1 victory on Friday.

McKenna Dodge made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk). Dodge was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-3 with four RBI and a double.

In other batting news, Linsey Briley was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Haili Becker, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

North Douglas pushed their record up to 8-1 with that win, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season.
