Basketball Recap: Glendale's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Two

Sierra Linda came into Friday's game looking for another win against Glendale, but Michael Palomino wouldn't allow it. The Glendale Cardinals snuck past the Sierra Linda Bulldogs with a 56-51 victory on Friday thanks in part to Palomino, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 15 rebounds. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played.

Victor Rodriguez was another key player, putting up ten points and six boards. That's the most points he has posted since back in January of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Sierra Linda lost, don't look at Johnell Wright. Despite the final result, he posted 25 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Elie Iranzi, who scored seven points.

The win made it two in a row for Glendale and bumps their season record up to 4-5. As for Sierra Linda, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

Glendale didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 49-37 loss against Independence on the 21st. As for Sierra Linda, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 68-56 defeat against Washington on the 21st.
