Baseball Recap: Louisville Comes Up Short

Louisville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 13-3 to the Douglas County West Falcon. If the Lions were looking for revenge after losing 18-5 to the Falcon when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Louisville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cole Gissler, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Louisville's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Douglas County West, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Louisville will head out to face off against Platte Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Douglas County West, they will venture away from home to take on Malcolm at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Clippers will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something the Falcon surely won't give up without a fight.
