Regis dropped their record down to 9-8 on Friday, which also ended the team's six-game streak of wins. They took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Crosshill Christian Eagles. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Rams, who until this matchup were averaging 3.94 runs allowed.

Jake Bohnke was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Owen Eaton was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

As for Crosshill Christian, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-3. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their two-run performance the contest before.

On Crosshill Christian's side, the team relied heavily on Wesley Zorn, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. That double was Zorn's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Tayden Isaacson, who went 3-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one RBI.
